I'm having the stuck key issue that a lot of people have. I've read a bunch on it and I know what the problem is. I'm going to see if my dealer will take care of it after the weekend. As described on page 7-22 (at least in the 2013 Impreza/Crosstrek manual), under the heading "Shift lock release using the shift lock release button", instructs you on how to remove the cap for the Shift Lock Release Button. All I did is remove the cap and the key removes 100% of the time so far!! 2016 Outback key gets stuck in ignition. It has something to do with the shifter knob not registering when it's in park. My key won't get released unless I take it out of park and throw the knob back into park a couple times. I'm past the basic warranty and the dealer wants $160 just to diagnose it.
