I prefer contraverse hold because the result per combat loop is easier to execute and higher yield. All I need to do is toss a nade at either groups or a high health target to weaken them for my weapons/teammates. The increased regen, ease of orb gen, devour on orb pick up, etc all add to the survivability.I agree that it's for harder difficulties, those that you can't steam roll. Up to something like Hero Nightfall, Nezarec's Sin + Graviton Lance/Funnelweb/Gnawing Hunger for a Void build is better IMO.
