I tried flushing dns cache, changing dns provider and restarting pc/steam but no result. I tried opening dbd's support page (support.deadbydaylight.com) and it won't load BUT deadbydaylight.com opens and works fine! RTM SP8 release notes states that it supports Java client 1.4.1_02; it does on the server, where I didn't have any trouble logging in with that client. However, it didn't on the remote client. So i guess i've found a fix for this. I went to Steam -> Configuration -> Browser Web and then clicked on "Delete browser Cache" and "Delete Cookies". When i restarted DBD, the game was fine once again. I don't know why this worked for me. #10.
