Problems with the Security 9. Oh what a disappointment. And I like it so much. But it's an illusion. It's not a gun to like any more. The very first time at the range, the trigger froze up, locked up, tight after only 17 rounds of Fiocchi. Sent it in to Ruger and got it back a week later with a new trigger, springs, etc.Today was the first time I got a chance to shoot the Security 9 after the three upgrades. Those were a Senechal trigger, Hogue grip sleeve and stainless steel guide rod with factory weight 17 lb spring. My impressions after firing 75 rounds today: The trigger is much better.

Rugers can sometimes be 'in the rough' when the first are getting broken-in...if you have some fine-grit sandpaper (400-600+) maybe try to smooth it out a bit and see how it goes.The Ruger Security 9 is my first "Hammer Style" semi auto pistol. With the advertised "95% cocked hammer" it has me second guessing carrying loaded without the safety engaged. 13 years of daily carry, and you haven't shot yourself yet is a pretty good track record. It's all about trigger discipline.
