It does not say specifically that motorcycle oil should be used nor does it specify synthetic vs. regular. I also do not know whether SG or other grades of oil would be better. Pretty easy to tell if it's the seal or the gasket. Clean the whole area really well. Let it sit and idle for a while then shut it down and go kill about 2 hours. No go back and follow the oil trail.
