They attach on to the bar going across the cab. The lower mounts are under the rounded plastic parts at the bottom sticking out a bit.

Any tricks to this or should I just trace the outline of the midgate onto a piece of 3/4" mdf and start cutting? It looks like I can just screw the new midgate box in using the hinges from the factory midgate. I'm only planning on putting 3 JL10W3's in the midgate so weight shouldn't be a problem because the factory midgate is really heavy.
