If the mag is installed, it will hit the mag preventing full rotation. Since a .45 mag is larger, it won't fit a 9/.40/.357 FCU due to that ledge, even with a .45 grip module. Full size .45 with new flat lever that is very hard to turn, compact .45 with old raised lever that is easy to turn. Swapped levers between the guns and both turned without a problem. P220 W.
